About

A small studio
with strong opinions.

WOWStudio builds WordPress plugins, websites with Elementor and Gutenberg, and small SaaS applications, from Dhaka, Bangladesh. We are independent, which mostly means we get to decide what we will not do.

01What we believe

Four things we will not be argued out of

  1. 01

Fix the thing, not the appearance of the thing

An accessibility overlay is the clearest example: a script that makes a page look attended to while changing nothing underneath. The same instinct shows up everywhere — a plugin that hides a warning instead of resolving it, a score improved by gaming the measurement. We build the boring version that actually works.

  2. 02

Say what a tool cannot do

Automated testing settles part of WCAG and no more. Our own plugin says so on its own dashboard, separates what a machine settled from what needs a person, and refuses to call a site compliant. Overstating capability is the fastest way to lose the only thing a small studio has.

  3. 03

Leave it so somebody else could take over

Your repository, your hosting, your accounts, from the first week. Documentation aimed at the next developer rather than at us. If ending an engagement would be expensive for you, the engagement was designed wrong.

  4. 04

    Small, and finished

We would rather ship three things that are done than twelve that are nearly done. That applies to the services we offer, the features in a first version, and the length of this page.

02Evidence

The clearest thing we can show you is our own work

Client work is often under agreement. Our own product is not, so read that instead — the code, the changelog and the decisions are all public.

WOWStudio Accessibility Remediation

A free WordPress plugin, currently v1.0.0. It scans against WCAG 2.2, proposes reviewable fixes to your own code, and documents what you did. It makes no outbound requests of any kind.

What it does

Everything in the open

The source, the changelog and the decisions behind them are public. That includes the entries where something we shipped turned out to be wrong, because a changelog that only contains good news is marketing.

Read the source

This site, held to the same standard

Every page here is checked against WCAG 2.2 AA automatically before it deploys, in light and dark, on desktop and mobile. A build with a violation does not ship.
